"So spielt das Leben" is Aaron Siermann's current project. It is about the ups and downs of life. About challenges that you have to overcome or things that you can simply accept. Bea is in her mid-thirties, the mother of a twelve-year-old daughter and eleven cats. In her early to mid-twenties, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and could no longer work. When I first met Bea and heard her story, she said a sentence that stayed with me for the next few weeks. "I made hundreds of plans in case things went wrong, but not a single one if things went well." An optimistic story and journey and the looming question: will everything work out in the end?

Bea is the first person in my series "This is how life plays out". I'm currently working on further portrait series with two other protagonists.
