The project marked the beginning of the 2024 summer semester and was created as part of a short project under the guidance of Paula Winkler. Over the course of two weeks, I documented the lives and stories of lorry drivers and spent valuable time at various lorry parks, fascinated by their stories. One of the most impressive encounters I had was with Majan, a lorry driver, with whom I sat in a car park over a cold Hasseröder. Our conversation about the differences between North Macedonia and Germany impressively showed me the diverse and often challenging realities of life for these working people.
